Seaver has held creative development and production executive positions for scripted film and television at Universal Pictures, MGM, Warner Brothers and Showtime. Her current role is as Executive Vice President at Foothill Productions. Their films have premiered at Sundance, Telluride, TIFF, Tribeca, Hot Docs, and the Venice Biennale and include several documentaries in Oscar contention.

Tamsin is a poet, essayist, cultural entrepreneur and social impact innovator. As founder of the creative/strategic consultancy, www.slipstreamstrategy.com, she helps brands and individuals make realities of good ideas that matter to the world. She was President of (PRODUCT) RED, an initiative that she launched with Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise funds and awareness for the fight against AIDS in Africa. She is a fellow at the Aspen Institute and frequently contributes to the Huffington Post.
Lucy has worked for 15 years as an interior designer. She serves on the Board of the Virginia Parker Foundation, which aims to support cultural institutions in Canada; Ithaka, a non-profit study-abroad program which seeks to educate teenagers in the classics; and the Auberge Saint-Antoine, her family’s hotel business in Quebec City, Canada.
Jonice owns and runs one of New York’s most celebrated salons, catering to celebrities including Roberta Flack, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vanessa Williams and Christy Turlington. She is active raising money for children around the world and for cancer research and hosts a charity event each year at the salon.
Alan is the founding president of The WSJ Leadership Institute. Previously he was the CEO of FORTUNE Media and he led the rapid expansion of the Pew Research Center’s digital footprint as president of that organization
Michele is an award-winning political correspondent who worked for NOW with Bill Moyers on PBS, covering politics, the environment and elections. She was the political anchor for CNN Headline News and has covered stories in Afghanistan, West Bank, Nepal, Libya, Jordan and throughout the U.S. She is the author of numerous op-ed pieces and three books, including the novel Our Girl in Washington. A graduate of Northwestern University, she began her career on Capitol Hill as communications director for Rep. Pete Geren. She is now executive editor of Film@11 Media, with a total audience of 10 million.
Diane M. Miller started her career as a classroom teacher, segued into curriculum creation, and co-founded Peoples Education, Inc. to publish the first authentic voice African American and Latino histories for children. As a founding member of the Education Committee at the Smithsonian Institution, she worked to enhance their effectiveness in K-12 schools.
Eight-time Emmy Award-winning producer for 60 Minutes, Graham has produced nearly 70 stories for the iconic show working with correspondents Steve Kroft, Scott Pelley and the late Ed Bradley. Notable stories include investigations into the CIA’s rendition program, the BP oil spill, and a Peabody Award-winning examination of Cyber Security, which uncovered the first confirmed attack on a major city’s electrical grid.
Bill McCarthy is the Head of the Hamilton School at Wheeler in Providence, Rhode Island, which is a “school within a school” model for students with learning differences. Previously, Bill was Head of Preschool and Lower School at Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and prior to that, he served as Director of Learning Support at the school in which he oversaw academic and social-emotional support for all students at the school. He is an experienced educator and leader who has spent over 20 years working in independent and public schools and organizations. He holds a Master’s degree from New York University in Social Work, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson College, and additional leadership certificates and post-graduate training. He serves as an educational advisor to the Institute for Social-Emotional Learning and to the Thorn Tree Project.
An original founding BYkids board member, the late Albert Maysles was recognized as the pioneer of “direct cinema,” the distinctly American version of French “cinema verité.” His films include The Gates, Salesman, Gimme Shelter, Grey Gardens and Oscar-nominated LaLee’s Kin: The Legacy of Cotton. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship (1965), a Peabody, an Emmy, five Lifetime Achievement Awards, the award for best cinematography at Sundance (2002), and the Columbia Dupont Award (2004). Eastman Kodak saluted him as one of the 100 world’s finest cinematographers.
Dustin Liu is a Taiwanese-American and proud New Yorker where he is the Senior Associate Director of the NYU Stern Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing (IPF). He leads the strategic direction of the organization, encouraging connections between research and practice, managing strategic partnerships and overseeing the design and implementation of the Initiative’s programming. Most recently, Dustin was a Lecturer at Stanford University and was the Associate Director of the Stanford Life Design Lab, he teaches the principles of design thinking and guides students as they develop their own answers to the tough questions in life, education and vocation. Outside of NYU, he is a guide and facilitator in learning communities where he designs learning experiences and curriculum.
Ling Li is a Partner at Rights CoLab and an Affiliated Senior Fellow at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Most recently he was Associate Director for East Asia at the Open Society Foundations. Previously, for 13 years, he directed the Luce Scholars Program at the Henry Luce Foundation, managing all aspects of this nationally competitive year-long fellowship offering young Americans cultural immersion and professional placement in 19 countries in Asia. A native of Wuhan, China, Ling was educated in China and in the United States, earning an M.A. in international relations and a law degree.
Maya is a partner at C&G Partners in New York City, a multi-specialty creative studio dedicated to design for culture. She has three decades of design experience and is internationally recognized for her pioneering work in interactive media. After more than a decade at IconNicholson, where she served as Chief Creative Officer, Maya joined C&G Partners in 2006, where she leads interactive, web and branding for non-profit and cultural institutions.

Cleo is a digital media professional. She focuses on Digital Brand Strategy, Program Planning and Project Management with expertise in e-commerce and mobile commerce product development. She currently works as head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) E-Commerce Strategic Planning for Estée Lauder Companies Europe, based in Munich, Germany. Prior to Estée Lauder, she worked for leading independent New York film distributors in the areas of sales, acquisitions and digital brand development.
Eduardo oversees the formulation of investment strategy, advice and execution across all asset classes for Citigroup’s clients worldwide. He was previously Global Head of Emerging Markets Sales, Head of Corporate Structuring in the Emerging Markets Credit Trading Group and Global Co-Head of Emerging Markets Credit Derivatives. Eduardo graduated from Colorado College, is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow and holds an MBA from Columbia University.
Leslie is a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in Apex, the dedicated family office coverage team that delivers a broad suite of investment opportunities and services to family office clients of the firm. She focuses on the sourcing and distribution of direct, narrowly syndicated private deals, co-investment opportunities and niche funds across asset classes. Prior to joining Goldman, Leslie held various investment and advisory roles with and alongside institutions, family offices and management teams. She studied history at Harvard and worked in investment banking at Dillon Read and CIBC Oppenheimer prior to becoming an investment principal. Leslie supports non-profits in cancer research and education.
For over a decade Sammy has produced BYkids films representing youthful perspectives on climate change, juvenile justice and disability, in addition to various TV and theatre productions. Born and educated in the UK, she originally worked in Fashion Marketing both for UK retailers and subsequently Nike Asia Pacific in Hong Kong. She has lived in NYC for over two decades with her family and also serves as a Board member for both Spence Chapin Adoption Agency and Fabretto Children’s Foundation in Central America.
Holly began her career as a writer and editor at The New York Times and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Since then she lived in Korea as a Henry Luce scholar and print and television journalist; produced the award-winning documentary, Margaret Sanger; co-founded North Carolina’s Full Frame Festival; served as a consultant for The After-School Corporation; produced the PBS series Media Matters; and most recently was the Executive Director of The Global Film Initiative.
In addition to his active role on the Board and his support of BYkids from the beginning, Ric will serve as one of the Film Mentors helping a child in another country make a film. Award-winning documentary filmmaker, best known for his groundbreaking PBS series, New York: A Documentary Film and documentaries on Eugene O’Neill, Ansel Adams and Andy Warhol.
Jim is a chief strategist, development and communications officer with major clients including The Carter Center, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) at Georgetown University and the Global Fund for Children. Jim is the Founding Director of Global Philanthropists Circle with Peggy Dulany and David Rockefeller. In addition to the BYkids Board, he serves as a trustee of Future Generations University, Madoo Conservancy and LongHouse Reserve. He lives in Sagaponack, NY.
Stacy is a commercial and fine art photographer and has shot international campaigns for companies including Estee Lauder, Vera Wang and Echo. She teaches photography around the world and has exhibited in New York and Europe.
Stephanie launched Final Cut edit, a post production company, in the United States in 2001 and was president until 2022. She began her career working in ad agencies as a director of production. Stephanie has been involved with films from “Other People” to “Do you Dream in Color” to “Moonlight”. She is currently a producer/writer on her own projects, while acting as a consultant for others. Stephanie lives in New York City with her family.
Mike has spent his career in financial services helping families and institutions with their investing goals. He recently served as a Managing Director at ICONIQ Capital where he advised many of the leading technology entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. Prior, Mike was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs.
Mike received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his BS with Honors from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia. He is a supporter of many educational and social programs and lives in Marin County, California with his family including two teenagers and his beloved golden retriever Roger.
Hilary earned a degree in urban planning from NYU and worked in the Manhattan Office of the New York City Planning Commission. She then worked as an advertising copywriter, on Wall Street as a writer/producer of print and video marketing materials and as a manager of corporate philanthropy. Hilary spent a number of years as a producer of corporate/industrial and documentary films at Mediaworks, Inc. (producers of the Academy Award nominated My Architect).
Melanie is a production executive for kids’ media in NYC. She currently oversees production of Sesame Workshop’s award-winning creative content, including Sesame Street, Esme and Roy, and two new series that will launch on Apple’s streaming service. Prior to joining Sesame, she served as VP of Production for National Geographic Kids Entertainment and produced acclaimed animated series for Cartoon Pizza/Jumbo Pictures, including Stanley (Playhouse Disney) and Doug (original Nickelodeon and Disney).
