Ling Li is a Partner at Rights CoLab and an Affiliated Senior Fellow at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Most recently he was Associate Director for East Asia at the Open Society Foundations. Previously, for 13 years, he directed the Luce Scholars Program at the Henry Luce Foundation, managing all aspects of this nationally competitive year-long fellowship offering young Americans cultural immersion and professional placement in 19 countries in Asia. A native of Wuhan, China, Ling was educated in China and in the United States, earning an M.A. in international relations and a law degree.
