RETURN DATE: UNKNOWN was screened at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the Council of Europe Consultation Group on Children of Ukraine. The film sparked deep emotion and reflection with the audience of international leaders and advocates, and we are proud Tymur could be there in person for the Q and A.
As Tymur’s mentor shared:
“It is amazing how far a film can go. You make it, put it out into the world and have no idea who it might reach or what kind of impact it might have.”
That room was filled with policymakers and decision makers. Tymur stood in front of them and shared his story.
“I can only hope the film helped make the war in Ukraine feel more human to the people in that room. Because the war is still ongoing. And stories like Tymur’s have a way of cutting through the noise and reaching hearts.”
After the screening Tymur said watching it again felt totally new. That is the power of film. It keeps evolving. It keeps speaking.
Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. Stories like Tymur’s remind us how far empathy and courage can reach.
